---+ Milling and Drilling Head A RepRap has the potential to be converted to a CNC machine by equipping it with a rotary tool such as a router or a dremel. With one of these toolheads, it would probably be possible to do milling on lightweight materials like wood and PCB. There are even certain types of paper based pcb's that are easy to drill and mill. If milling works well for pcb creation, then it may be possible to skip the etch process entirely. PCB milling is definitely a viable route, but it remains to be seen how accurate and sturdy a machine built for additive manufacture can handle the stress of subtractive manufacture. It seems that at the very least it could support drilling since only one axis is engaged during cutting. Drilling would be a big help in circuit board making. -- Main.ZachSmith - 11 Feb 2007
