Ergonomics
It can be quite straining to read loads of documentation as part of ones research. However, there are applications and web-browser plugins that can help to alleviate these hurdles.
Applications
Redshift (Free) & f.lux (Gratis) are applications that adjusts the computer display's color temperature based on where Earth the user are located and what time it is.

Zim
Zim is a graphical text editor designed to maintain a collection of locally stored wiki-pages. Each wiki-page can contain text with simple formatting, links to other wiki-pages, attachments, and images. Additional plugins, like equation editor and spell-checker, are also available. The wiki-pages are stored in a folder structure in plain text files with wiki formatting. Zim is written in Python using GTK+ libraries.
