Sid was designed by Prad Lal of Blokko (http://www.blokko.com) and Simplifi3D (http://www.simplifi3d.asia) for education. No screws are required for the assembly of structural components.
Project Goal
Designed as an educational printer kit that even a 9-year old can put together in 2 hrs.
Overview
The linear motion is based on Barton Dring's Makerslide.
Aluminium extrusions required:
- 2 x Makerslide 240mm
- 2 x Makerslide 250mm
- 1 x Al2040 180mm
- 1 x Al2040 380mm
Motors required:
- 3 x NEMA 17 stepper
- 2 x NEMA 17 stepper with threaded rod
Controller used:
- RAMPS 1.4
