we need a new term for this . this portable printer is as portable as 1983 COMPAQ. [en.wikipedia.org]

we need a new reprap term that indicates portable but ridiculous for the 21st century.

it seems far easier to partially disassemble a prusa, and place it inside of a suitcase.

well well well, I was wrong, yes Ben.s model is portable :)
Ours is 7.4 inch thick and this can brought to 6inch easily by replacing wood box by metallic.

My only intention of the post was to get some reviews, this was done as a course project of our curriculum and I have no intention whatsoever to compare our printer with anything else. This is the first prototype. We used coreXY.

About assembling, yes I feel it is not very good idea to assemble but to remind you again, we are not in competition with anyone, this project was our first 3D printer and we successfully achieved objectives of our course :)

My definition of PORTABILITY is:

1. That it is small. Ben's model is only 5 inches thick.
2. That it does NOT need to be assembled! Ben's model must only be opened, the y-carriage slid into place and plugged in. Takes less than 30 seconds!
