blown z outlet on arduino

the heat sink on the ramps 1.4 z stepper driver slid over and shorted out the pins and now the z isnt working .I have the problem narrowed down to the arduino pins for the z stepper .Is there some programming in the repetier firmware I can change that would allow me to use the z axis plugged in the second extruder outlet .

you will also want to look at the pin number and match it to this diagram

all the pins i/o on the port/channel that was blown wont work any more. perhaps they can work as inputs, you would need to check

take a look in pins.h [github.com]

Find the section for your board, [github.com]

And swap the step, direction and enable pins from the e1 and Z definitions.
Compile, upload and cross fingers.
