            <description><![CDATA[ well sending the pt100 back and getting refund for item and postage due to the wiman on phone being wrong<br />

is there and otherthings in firmware that could be at error if i change the thermister numer the value on the lcd changes but when put back to 5 it becomes the same as before<br />

As for the normal Thermistor, is not that hard to get it working. From what you tell it appears that you have ether a broken wire or the Thermistor leads are shorting. Make sure the fiberglass sleeving is pressed all the way down so when the termistor is bent and inserted into the hole, there are no copper exposed. Also press firmly the ferrules so the Thermistor leads and the cable make a good electrical connection and don't forget to insulate them (if the short then the readings will be way off). Take a look into the e3d assembly instructions, they are pretty clear and if you follow them precisely things should work as expect]]></description>

OK, it fit´s mechanically, but for the RAMPS you would need a interface-board.<br />

I have 2 Chinese hot ends, both claiming to be E3D V6. One has a small screw and PTFE washer to hold the thermistor in, the other doesn't. On the second one, the heater cartridge and thermistor wires are taped together, so that when the cartridge is in place, the thermistor is held in its hole.<br />
