Herringbone gears - awesome! I thought I'd have a go at designing my own extruder (yes, wheel re-invention, it's a weakness of mine), so I printed out a set of herringbone gears to play with. I'm very impressed with the design on these, the fit and smoothness of the mesh is amazing. There seem to have been quite a few people involved over the years, so a big thank you to everyone that contributed. There's actually quite a few but not many for 5mm shaft, and the part to mate it with isn't metal but I think they are too large for printer use.
