general question on printing

Generally speaking does the size of the object you're printing determine any of the printer settings? Or does one size fit all? New to this and still have a million questions.

Thanks

You can have size independent print settings, but usually it makes sense to adjust.
Like mentioned above, some small parts might not require as high temperatures or shielding as larger parts. They might need lower speeds though or waiting periods for cooling down.
Also since smaller objects often feature smaller details chances are you need higher print precision/smaller layers.

One of the neat things about these systems is that they're completely configurable. You can use whatever settings you want for whatever reason you want.

I've been known to modify my standard profiles with a lower bed temperature if a given printer has a heated bed that struggles and the printed part is small enough not to need the usual temperature.

A slight boost to the extruder temperature might help layer bonding on a taller part (or not).

Large parts also might nudge you in the direction of sacrificing some quality in exchange for faster printing...Taller layers, faster speeds, sparser infill, less complex infill patterns, etc.
