This kit contains everything you need to complete your 3D printer Prusa i3 (single plate version with surface treated, tapped aluminum frame).

All supplied components are a high quality products. Over 50 printers has been already built with this kit. Satisfied customer is our priority.

You will find here GT2 timing belts, aluminum frames (elox, tapped), aluminum heated platform Heatbed MK2, high torque NEMA 17 stepper motors (pre-crimped with 4pin connectors),mechanical end-stops and reliable easy to use RAMPS 1.4 control board, which is capable of additional upgrades(dual extruder, lcd panel). Plastic parts are made of ABS, which offers better mechanical features than PLA do. Hot-end is pre-assembled. It is J-Head design with 0.4mm nozzle diameter. Extruder is based on i3ext by sgrber.

 

On the internet, there is a number of tutorials about building and setting up your Prusa i3. I recommend for example this YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWUkTEl3bZE). Another tutorial in PDF is available here (http://abella.net/dev/manual-r13.pdf). As you buy this kit, you will also receive some photos of details, so you will know how some parts were intended to be installed. You will also get configured Marlin firmware, so no calibration is needed.

  

Software toolchain is open source, which means it is available for free. In order to use your 3D printer, you are going to need the software described below:

Host software - Repetier Host

Slicing software - Slic3r

Arduino software - Arduino verze 023
