i2: to bowden or not to bowden Hi, I am trying to decide whether to go for a Bowden setup on my i2. I want fast print speeds, and I've noticed that on the i1 the moving mass of the extruder tries to shake the machine to bits on fast X carriage movement, so I am thinking of going to a bowden setup on the next machine. I am using a Greg's Wades Reloaded and a Hexagon metal hot-end, and I think I should be able to find/print the necessary bits to do this, but it'd be nice to have some opinions on whether it's worth it and whether I'm opening myself up to further problems by doing so. I swap between .3, .4 and .5mm nozzles on the extruder when i want.
Ive gone direct drive so im not restricted on materials and it works fine.
Im getting 50mm/s and good prints. Abs, pla, ninjaflex.
I got the chance to compare it to an ultimaker 2 recently and my printer was just as quick and as good prints.

The hexagon and fan are a bit tight in the x-carriage between the smooth rods so i had to modify an existing carriage to get it to fit.
I also had to find a very narrow 20mm fan to fit in there.
Really must get round to putting the info online somewhere.
