I am trying to Burn the bootloader via the ISP using USBTiny. My question is which one is pin 1? It says this "Connect the six pin cable of the USBTiny to your RepRap board's ISP header. Orientation is critical (red wire corresponds to pin 1)!" Here: [reprap.org] I tried figuring it out but I don't know how to read schematics yet. This is the schematic drawing for the USBTiny: [www.ladyada.net] I dont know the orientation of the schematic and the board. The Sangunolu I am not sure where Pin 1 would start. Does Pin 1 start from left to right like a western book or right to left etc.... [reprap.org] I also attached a photo of my setup. This is the message I get:

Error while loading bootloader.
avrdude: initialization failed, rc=-1

Any suggestions?

Edit: Do I need to remap the pins for the ribbon cable that came with the USBTiny? as mentioned in here? [forums.reprap.org]


Edit2: I figured it out. I used arduino 18 with the respective sanguino extension. I plugged the 6 pin cord in with the red cord on the left. So it seemed like it was upside down.
