USB com connection in linux failure I'm having trouble connecting the Sanguinolo electronics of my Huxley in linux. The Wiki says this should "just work" but I am only getting errors from the kernel. The errors are the same whether the power is connected or not. try a M119 command for eg (M119: Get End stop Status)

The USB on the SL is basically the small chip on the back FT232RL . It provides the serial over usb for the computer to see If its not your cable... Its that of one of its support components

If it isn't the cable, I'm in trouble. This is a pre-assembled Sanguinololu that came with a RepRapPro Huxley kit, which seems to have been tested before shipment (there was a sticker). I hope I haven't somehow fried the board/chip/something.

Also, my Huxley isn't fully connected yet. I was hoping to see if I could communicate with the chip before I get to snapping on all the wires.
