Hi all! I've recently purchased a few 17HS4417 motors, rated 1.7A, with coil resistance 1.5R. Clearly the coil resistance is fairly low - I'm wondering if drivers like DRV8825 would cope with that? Any experience with such a low-resistance motors using DRV8825? Those motors work perfectly fine in my Prusa i3 - you can see it here: [picasaweb.google.com]

However, I wasn't exactly happy with DRV8825 (annoying noise, as well as microstepping problems). I understand the current / torque relation, as well as PWM basics. What concerned me here (after second reading of the datasheet) is that both PWM frequency and blanking time (minimum ON time) are fixed in case of DRV8825 (30kHz and 3.75us, respectively).
