Hi all,

Unfortunately, dealing with 3d models is not my cup of tea and I need a designer, modeler, or someone who is really good in SketchUp to create a an object for me for money. What I need done is to take an existing model from thingiverse (I'll provide the address) shrink the overall size and add my own features to it to be customized for an action figure of mine. I need to be able to bring it to a 3D print shop here in town so the STL file would need to be "Printable".

If you are capable of doing such thing, let me know and we discuss further over private message. I have written the details in WORD document, so if you're interested we can start from there. Applicants MUST be willing to accept PayPal for payments.

Thanks all and I look forward hearing from you.

Hi there ,

So after searching for local groups and support and finding pretty much nothing I am finally giving up and asking for help.

Im quite new at 3d printing but had churned out a good lot of prints on my new anycubic i3 mega until a "gift" from a friend in the form of unbranded pla killed not only my first hotend but my replacment hot end, so after failing miserably to fix the original 2 hotends I figured why not just get an e3d v6 upgrade as everyone seems to rave about .. so yeah its pretty much all installed but then to my horror I discovered a critical error on my part , I had not taken into account the height of the e3d v6 compared to the standard anycubic one.

So long story short my e3d v6 needs some extra parts for me to actually use it and catch 22 is I need the printer to print the parts to get the printer to print. fun times eh?

there are 2 small parts that need to be in abs so I can finally get back in the game , if anyone can help I would be eternally grateful and if I need to pay for it then so be it .

so yea help a n00b out so I can get my printer running again.

Thanks

Hi, I'm considering building an alum extrusion framed 3d printer themed on Ultimaker
I would like to use a 300x200 heat bed. The bed itself (alum + heater) isn't difficult to buy.
But that needs to sit atop a thick sheet. And because it's Ultimaker-themed the thick
sheet needs to be somewhat bigger than 300x200 - since it rides vertically on 12mm rods
and needs to have a driving nut attached for a lead screw. My plan is draw it in FreeCAD
and send to a good fellow or to some online CNC service to get done. I would hope
the maker to supply the material too.

Would anybody here be able to suggest a good place for me to get this thing manufactured in the UK?
I'm actually located in London if that matters.. Also anybody got any idea how thick it needs to be? 5mm?

Thx,

Hi all,

I build synthesizers on the MIDIbox platform. I've completed three synths, and am working on my fourth. The first two used semitransparent 3D printed plastic button caps and "light pipes" for LEDs (you can see them in the picture at the link above). I found the maker on this forum about three years ago who I used for my first two synths, but I haven't been able to contact them recently, so I figured I'd ask for someone new. I have a couple friends with 3D printers, but nobody with the transparent filament I need.

The parts are quite small, max dimension about 12 mm for the buttons, but I will need a couple hundred of each kind, so the order would still be moderately priced ($40-$80 range). Single material, any transparent plastic (the slightly bluish ABS pictured above works fine). I will provide STLs and work with you on getting the details right before the whole batch production (the buttons have a recess in the underside which may cause inconsistencies in printing, depending on your machine's capabilities). If the batch I receive works in my build, I also plan to sell these parts on the MIDIbox Shop in a kit for the synth's front panel, so a larger order would be on the horizon.

Let me know if you're interested. Reply, PM, or email me at my name at Google's email.

Thanks,
