Fil-A-Mental Extruder

Here's my take on a filament extruder, waiting on a new drive motor.

Interesting comment about the C100. I have one bought cheap off ebay, and the temperature reading is several degrees off. It seems to get worse as the unit is powered for a while. I guess it is usable, but I wouldn't rely too much on it.

The Chinese economy seems to work through chains of agents who pass on increasingly dodgy cheap imitations. They don't seem to have any conscience when it comes to selling dodgy kit, it is just about getting a sale, and buyer beware!

Thanks Gary. It's only intended as a one off. 90% of the parts have been machined in some way or another, labor and tool intensive to make.

That is a very neat (and compact) design! Congratulations! From the looks of it once you get your higher torque motor running it'll run like a champ!

You give lots of great info in the video, but are you also planning on writing up more details on the design somewhere? Perhaps in the wiki? :)

Great work!
