        <title>Is there a method to use regular 1&amp;quot; square aluminium extrusions?</title>
        <description> I happen to have three lengths of 1&quot; square aluminium extrusion.  I realize openbeam, t-slot, v-groove etc is better, but I have here and it is free.  I&#039;m thinking of a Cerberus Pup/Kossel Mini printer. Any thought on how I can build carriages for regular square stock?

Here is a no printer version.  <br />
<br />
All you need is...<br />
2x2 lumber (1.5"x1.5")<br />
6x 5/16"-2.25" bolts<br />
6x 1/4" washers (You need the smaller washer to get a tight fit on the bolt.)<br />
6x 5/16" nuts<br />
6x 608 skate bearings<br />
...per carriage.<br />

You just need a table saw and a drill press to make it.<br />

I would hold the sides together with zip ties around both sides.  If you drive the same side that has the delta arms it doesn't matter if the two halves shift with respect to each other.<br/>]]></description>

            <description><![CDATA[ Imagine a square sleeve.  Split it diagonally.  Incorporate 608 bearing mount points so you can have bearings riding on all four sides.  I would do a 2-1-2-1 pattern for the bearings.  You can zip tie the halves onto the square tube or spring load them or screw them together.<br />
