        <title>Stepper motor driver А4988 on Ramps 1.4 smoked out. Why?</title>
        <description> Hey Guys,

So I&#039;m trying to get a Nema 17 stepper motor running on Ramps 1.4. I&#039;m using a driver А4988 for that and a 12v power supply. 
When I connected the power supply only, everything seemed to work. The lights started blinking on both the Arduino mega and the Ramps boards, and my LCD came to life. After unplugging the power supply and connecting the driver as shown in the picture below, and connecting back the power supply I got smoke and a nice black spot on my driver. What did I do wrong?
