Leaky Extruder

Hello all,

I'm new to all this printing stuff so bear with me if I don't know what I'm talking about :)

I have a RepRap Huxley model. All of my prints are very stringy and I think it is because my filament continues to extrude whenever it moves to a different spot. The retraction settings I use in Slic3r are 2mm retraction at 100 mm/s with a 2mm Z elevation (Everything else is default). I am using 1.75mm filament and I am extruding it at 180C. I tried extruding it at 170 (I know, I know, way too low) and it was still stringy. Anyone able to help me isolate this?

EDIT: I am using PLA for the filament.

Thanks!
