First time 3D printer user... Struggling with ABS and starting layers

Hi guys,

Bought a 3D printer the other day and it arrived today I set it up and calibrated it as it says on the machine and use ReplicatorG to slice the STL file and print it. Here's the settings i'm using...

Nozzle Temp - 225oc
Bed Temp - 110oc
Bed surface - Blue painters tape
Material - 1.75mm ABS
Feedrate - 35mm/s
Rapid rate - 40mm/s
Layer Height - 0.4mm

What it will do is start fine and begin to print it got to 35% and then it just sort of grabs the part and rips it away from the bed? I haven't a clue why I've tried a few different settings and to no joy. It's also rough as a dogs bumhole for edges. Here's the model I'm printing...

I am printing the part face down (tabs in the air) and here's how it's looking...

This is the machine I purchased...

I need some urgent assistance/advise as I have stupidly gambled some other peoples money on this also lol.

Yes PVA (kids craft glue) works. Im a new user too and had similar issues. watered down PVA wiped onto the glass worked great . It kinda muckies the glass but the part really holds to it.
Getting the space from the nozzle to the glass plate correct and level seems pretty important too. Once the first layer gets pressed onto the surface the others seem to behave.

I found I get better adhesion directly on the glass. Started with blue painters tape with purple Elmers gluestick.

Now I print at 240c nozzle and 135c bed. First I clean it with Windex until it squeeks then 97% isopropyl alcohol. Prints stick like they are epoxied to the glass until it cools then they pop right off. Need to get another piece of glass cut so I can swap and keep printing.

Also check your starting nozzle height, I bought feeler gauges, took the .09, .1 and .11 and color coded them red, green and yellow. I fought for days trying to get things to stick when I noticed I had pulled the .09, .1 and .11 INCH feeler gauges!! Switched to .1MM, reconfigured the autoleveling offset and so far great prints straight on the glass

ABS shrinks and warps like that. You would be better off printing something like this with PLA.

In my own experience with printing ABS on print stickers (clear packaging labels). Is to polish the sticker to a shine using a cloth, warm water and some dishwashing detergent. This way I get way better results.

If you want it 100% good, you could try making an ABS slurry.
(Make sure your acetone is pure enough or it wont work)
