I want to convert my O1 power supply to O2 power supply and I need this regulator.<br />
I looked everywhere, but its nowhere to be found any more.<br />
<br />
Anyone has any idea where I could get one?<br />
Or if I even need it, maybe I can hook up everything without it?<br />

            <description><![CDATA[ Ladies and gents,<br />

Long story short I've managed to send 12v into the sensor and of course I was greeted with celebratory fireworks here.<br />
<br />
Hence only one component seems to be blown this should be 2min fix, of course if only I would be able to tell what was the component.<br />
<br />
Anyone could point me into the right direction?!<br />

            <description><![CDATA[ Hi, I'm still using my old Ormerod 1 but when I tried to fix the axis compensation found out my old firmware had a M556 bug so updated to 1.09 using the reprap page guide. But now the hot end won't work properly and I get a "no tool selected" error using Pronterface<br />

Today the hot end did get hot even with giving the same the error, but when I tried to print an older gcode from the SD  that had worked before I upgraded firmware the error says "Attempting to extrude with no tool selected." So the same issue as the hot end. Also the print head seemed to be moving inaccurately for the print, But with no filament being extruded it was hard to be sure, but seemed to be very thick layers. <br />
<br />
I had to adjust all the home(XYZ All) for the proper bed corners and the bed leveling G32 or G29 give errors "Invalid G code"<br />
So it won't do a four corner bed leveling either - but that is less important than the hot end and extruder not being selected tools. <br />
<br />
Do I need a different firmware?<br />
I looked at firmware 2.05 but I don't find any .bin file to use. <br />

            <description><![CDATA[ I'm in the process of upgrading my ormerod 2 to a twin nozzle and I've a fairly simple question. In the single nozzle configuration the active nozzle (tool 0) is farthest from the Z axis. My question is in a twin configuration is that still the case? The reason for my question is in the original reprappro supplied config.g there is the following:<br />

I am trying to upgrade to the latest firmware version for my Ormerod 1, but I am having trouble figuring out what files to use. It has been a while since I have last updated the firmware but I have just checked and it is on Firmware Version 1.09. <br />

I have found what I think is the latest Firmware but I don't know which of these is the correct file. None of them say 1.26 on them. (https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/tag/2.05 )<br />

            <description><![CDATA[ I am having an issue with the hotend not heating up quickly enough. <br />

I start the Printer and then set the hotend temperature to 200 C. It starts to heat up but after some time I get a message saying "Heating fault on heater 1, T = 196.8 C; still not at temperature 200.0 after 150.484131 seconds." I can get past this by resetting the hotend while it is still hot and setting the temp again but this doesn't fix the issue. <br />
<br />
During printing, it is also dropping the temperature by 10 to 20 C when it starts to print quickly. But the prints seem to come out fine despite this.<br />
<br />
I think this is caused by the hotend heating up slowly and not being able to keep up with the amount of material that it is extruding. <br />
<br />
I have had this printer for a while and it has only started doing this recently. Could it be a firmware issue? Is there anyway to change the hotend temperature check so it can heat up quicker?<br />
<br />
FYI, I have just changed the hotend and the whole heatsink assembly because the same was happening to the old one so I don't think that was the issue. Also, I am not sure when I updated the Firmware last or if this started after a firmware change.]]></description>

            <title>Octopi on Duet - issue heating hot end (1 reply)</title>

Its been a while since I have used my Ormerod due to the LAN chip failing on the duet board, I have decided to get Ormerod working again and rather than replacing the duet board I have decided to go down the Octopi route.<br />

I have set it up and XYZ controls work however I have an issue with commanding the hot end to active at any temperature. heated bed and hot end standby temps are fine.<br />
<br />
I know Duet firmware is old but it worked last time I used it<br />
FIRMWARE_NAME: RepRapFirmware for Duet FIRMWARE_VERSION: 1.12 ELECTRONICS: Duet 0.6 DATE: 2016-05-07<br />
<br />
If I send  M104 S210 ; set temperature<br />
the new temp displays on my LCD screen as active however it doesn't heat, the only way to get it to heat is to set the standby temp high, this will start heating immediately.<br />
It sounds like i am missing a vital gcode to tell the printer to enable heating to active temps.<br />
<br />
Does the RepRap firmware work differently to marlin when setting active temps?<br />
<br />
Any help/ideas appreciated.<br />

            <title>Hot end not getting hot (5 replies)</title>

            <description><![CDATA[ I have just upgraded my Ormerod 1 X axis, which included swapping out a new hotend cartridge. I have made all of the connections exactly as before, but now the hot end won't heat up. I have checked the thermistor and it doesn't seem like that is the issue. I have also checked the wiring and can't see an issue with that. I don't know if it is a dud heater cartridge but I also don't know how to check.<br />

One thing that might be is that the new one is slightly different to the old one. The old one had red wires and the new one has orange wires(not sure if that helps). Is there a difference between the old and the new heater cartridge which might prevent the new one working?]]></description>

I've been away a long time - but my Ormerod 2 has been (mostly) kept in use - though I am by no means a heavy user of it<br />
<br />
I just encountered a weird problem during a print. It was ok for the first 20 layers or so - but then the Z axis starting clicking and the not moving up anymore. I did fairly recently suffer from a broken bracket at the bottom (the big one which holds the end of the Z axis rod) - but it printed fine after that - at least a couple of small prints<br />
<br />
Now I find that I cant properly home the machine. X and Y home fine (and the Z axis moves up and down as expected) however the motor always seems to get stuck when it is trying to move the sensor to the white patch (I use white tape on the bed).<br />
<br />
I've completely removed the Z lead screw and the problem happens even when the motor is not actually driving anything. It also happen when I connect the extruder motor instead of the Z motor<br />
<br />
Now I don't want to jump to any conclusions - but this sounds like a controller board issue (its a Duet 0.6 from a 1st revision Ormerod 2), However it seems odd that it is so repeatable<br />
<br />
I have been running on 800ma for the Z driver but have boosted it to 1000ma as initially I thought it might be related to the Z lead screw<br />
<br />

            <description><![CDATA[ I have not used my printer in about 3 years.<br />
<br />
I cleaned and oiled the slides and replaced a couple of cracked PLA parts.<br />
<br />
When I connect via Pronterface it reads the bed and hotend temperatures, but I cannot control them, they both just keep rising.<br />
<br />
Web interface reports Duet Firmware 0.59a-dc42<br />
<br />
I can connect via Web interface, but once again no control.<br />
<br />
Have been working on this for 6 hours today with no joy.<br />
<br />
Can anyone give me an idea of what to try to get this working???<br />

I dusted it off, cleaned the surface rust off and lubricated the slide rods, but found a couple of cracks on the printed parts.<br />

            <title>Home Z leaves nozzle 5mm above bed! (2 replies)</title>

            <description><![CDATA[ I have an Ormerod 1 (first edition from RS) which I have recently upgraded to use firmware version 1.23 and using the Mini Height Sensor from David Crocker's MiscSolutions (bought from E3D)<br />
I followed the setting up instructions described in [<a href="https://miscsolutions.wordpress.com/mini-height-sensor-board/" target="_blank"  rel="nofollow">miscsolutions.wordpress.com</a>] which went well.<br />
The results copied into congig.g were:<br />
G31 Z1.805 P500<br />
When I execute Homez.g (listing below), after psitioning the nozzle to X=100, Y=100, the nozzle moves down to about 2mm from the bed, then moves up by about 5mm and it is this position which is being set t Z=0 (i.e 5 - 7mm above the bed<br />
The probe type is set to M558 P1.<br />

Long time since I was here. My Old Ormerod has been working well for the last few years( just prototyping mainly rather than day in day out), though I havent followed most of the upgrades, still using Pronterface! (though I did upgrade to dc42's firmware, since it does curves much more elegantly). One day I will get around to upgrading everything, but meanwhile  I decided to try helping out printing some PPE masks for the NHS. <br />

            <description><![CDATA[ After a number of months of very little activity, my poor old Omerod 1 has been pressed into hard service making face shields I have been donating to local doctors surgeries and care homes, after producing almost 150 shields, and with demand for many more, my Ormerod has stopped heating the extruder.<br />
Temperature reading appears to be correct and on the thermistor I have around 80k Ohm. On the E0_HEATER terminals I'm only getting 1.5v when the heater should be on. <br />
Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.]]></description>

            <title>Fluctuating Temperature on Ormerod 1 (3 replies)</title>

            <description><![CDATA[ I was printing some models and I was having issues with the temperature fluctuating wildly throughout the print. I am using Pronterface (Version 2014.03.10) and Firmware 1.09.<br />

The start of the print would go well but eventually the temp would start to bounce back and forth by 10-20 degrees. By the end of the print, It could be dropping down to room temp or on some occasions -273 degrees.  This doesn't stop the print though and it is able to finish (with some issues of under extrusion)<br />
<br />
This only seems to be happening recently (in the last 3 or 4 prints) and it doesn't affect all prints (I printed 4 small items yesterday only 3 were affected). I am not entirely sure that the heater is broken or if it is just the temperature reporting that is at issue. I tried looking at updating the Firmware to 1.26.1 but cannot find the .bin file for this. Otherwise, I haven't changed anything else in a while.]]></description>

            <description><![CDATA[ Hi guys, I have an ormerod 1 at work to play with hooked unto a ramps 1.4 board. In pronterface one of the setting for the bed (PLA i think) is set at 110c. If i click set, the bed slowly heats up, Im talking slowly! It seems to stop at a maximum 65-70c the LED on the ramps and mat is on constant so its calling for power all the time but hits a brick wall of being able to get hotter.<br />
The mat is hooked up to the 11A line on PC PSU whilst the board is on 5A.<br />
<br />
Any guidance would be great so i can iron out the bugs 1 by 1.<br />

            <description><![CDATA[ The topic says it all.. The fillament roll was tangled, pulled the ormerod down from the table about 80cm high.<br />
<br />
Both acrylic parts of the Y axis (one near the motor bracket and other the idler bracket) are smashed into pieces and cant be glued any more.<br />
<br />
Any stl anywhere for them? I cant seem to find them.<br />
<br />
And if not, any suggestions on what I should do? I am in the middle of an order and need a solution asap.]]></description>
