Strange problem with my pursa mendel...

Hello Repraprs

I encounter a strange problem with my pursa mendel (1.4), after i just finished to build it and calibrate it i loaded a 10mm cube for testing (using prontface). its took about 30 minutes until its heated the bed (that not the problem) so i tried to pause and reset the printing. After pushing the pause and the restart button the prontface crashed and since then the printer don't response (using prontface). when i upload the sprinter i do see the green light fleshes meaning there is communication.

I tried to unplug the power and usb cables and to reload the sprinter, but it didn't help...
Any solutions?

Thanks,
Adi.

The problem was fixed, its seem that the print test has caused the power wire to melt...
i have 2 suggestion for the problem:

1. high current to the motors
2. lot of time for hitting the system up.
not very safety...

Thanks,

Pronterface is a buggy piece of software. I find it's sometimes necessary to disconnect the USB, exit pronterface, reconnect the USB, load pronterface and then connect to the printer. Might I suggest Repetier host? It's much better.

I'd turn everything off, computer included, and try again. You might want to verify your com port, I've seen them move and return. You should end up in the port you started out with after a reboot though. Turn off all electronics for a full minute or so to clear residual power.
