Are (most) all 1 KG filament spools a standard size?

Before I start making the parts to hold filament for my printer, I want to verify that there is a basically standard spool size for the filament. I am going to work on some ideas for anti - snarl components which may be of help to some of you. Thanks.

You can get pails of de-humidifier chemical from various places. It's more or less the same sort of stuff in the little packages in the bags. You dry it out in the oven and then store the whole pail with your sealed trunk full of filament. Dry it out every few months and you are good for a long time. A nice big pail should be less than the price of a spool of filament. You can also get pails of stuff that are non-reversable, so you need to do a bit of digging to be sure of which one you are getting.

Those look cool. I like the idea of just using a fishing reel because that double spiral mechanism does not look terribly easy to reproduce. As to the dehumidifier, they are made for boats and RVs, a 19 foot boat for example would be 600 cubic feet or more typically, I would think you would damage the filament with one of those. A light bulb would be a better choice. even then, I'd watch your wattage.

I have also been thinking to incorporate a Dehumidifier Rod in the enclosed filament holder.
