Hey, I am considering building a McWire Repstrap. I was just wondering how I would mount the Makerbot extruder (http://store.makerbot.com/toolheads/plastruder/plastruder-kit-mk3.html) I am considering buying as the extruder, as it is designed for the reprap and makerbot, not the mcwire repstrap. I made a McWire / still have a McWire I have used it with a Dremel as a CNC the Dremel is now mounted in the Bertha CNC which is almost twice as much movement per revolution using a simple/low cost 10mm CNC Trapezial threded bar that gives 2mm movement per revolution per 200 steps. Bertha runs its steppers at 32Volts 2A using microstepping controllers

Big bertha uses expensive puka 16mm ball screws for X and Y that gives 5mm per revolution / 200 steps. I think that is near enough the same movment per revolution as a Darwin belt drive someone will corect me if Im wrong.
