Possibly the wrong hot end?

Hi, I'm currently getting all the parts together to build a press Mendel i2 and I've noticed the hot end I've bought is designed for a Bowden extruder but I've realised the plastic parts kit comes with the parts to build a greggs hinged extruder. From the pictures I notice the main difference is the one that I've bought has a blue plastic sort of button, that the filament goes through. Will this still work or is there anything I can do to adapt it?
Thanks for the help.

You can unscrew the brass fitting, but low distance hotends have a tight hole at the top to guide the filament properly :
If you remove the push-in coupler, you shoud replace it by a fitting (possibly printed) to help guidind the filament on the top of the hotend.
