Which LED to use for a MK2a heatbed?

I have a MK2a heatbed that will be arriving soon. I want to use a couple of LED's on the bed but don't know what to go for. The MK2a on my Prusa Mendel that I built several years ago came with 2 rectangular LED's and resistor. I'd like to get a couple of rectangular LED's for the new bed because they sit neatly side by side. What I'm having trouble with choosing LED's is that a lot of them don't have a voltage rating. I've seen a few LED's with a Forward Voltage Minimum of around 1.6, but I don't know if they would be suitable. Could someone please point out what I should be looking for?

'Parts' from [reprap.org]

2 x surface mount 1206 size on the MK2a or conventional through-hole LEDs. Install with opposite polarity so one or the other will light up regardless of the polarity of the power supply to the board.

1 x 1K ohm surface mount or through-hole resistor

The 1K resistor is the important part, limits how much current goes threw the led.
