            <description><![CDATA[ Not so fast, what kind of lead screw you have? It sounds by that number that you don't have 1/16 micro stepping, can you check in your board if you have all the jumpers plugged under the stepper driver (if ramps).]]></description>

It will turn the steppers "ON" and holds position after all axis find their home. (For a minute or two anyway)]]></description>

During heat up, the steppers aren't on, so yes, it's not holding position. Activate steppers and it holds firm.<br />
So, need to move z a mm to activate stepper.<br />
<br />
Must be another way to switch on steppers? It's not connected to a pc, and the LCD just has option to turn steppers off, not on.]]></description>
