I did, and here&#039;s what i&#039;ve come up with:

I don&#039;t have a thermal camera, so have no idea how effective it is at cooling the top of the hot end. However, this, or something similar, might remove the need for the fan. (though i don&#039;t use a fan, so need, is perhaps too strong a word)

The U shape helps keep the wire from vibrating out, as does the bend toward the bottom of the U. There&#039;s not a whole lot of surface area on the wire, but the idea is that the high thermal conductivity will spread out the heat and help pull it from the PEEK fins. I could always add longer wire pieces, too.</description>
