I'm going to purchase a few 40mm fans for my MendelMax 1.5 and mount them to the x-carriage for the extruder nozzle. Does anyone have experience and suggestions for fan options? Does a speed control fan actually help much, and if so how do I hook it up to my Arduino? I assume a higher volumetric flow rate will cool better, but is there really a case where there's too much?
