Pronterface + Sprinter extruder ex temp rising rapidly

Hello,

my extruder heating resistor temp is rising very fast despite having a skeinforge heating rate of 0.1 Celcius/second. This means it's over heating and fluctuating wildly. Can anyone advise me how to slow it down?

Ponterface/Sprinter + Sanguinololu

thanks,

Mike

Did this just start happening when you switched to sprinter? Make sure you have the right thermistor selected in your firmware.

Also I'm pretty sure the skeinforge setting for heating rate in only affects how long it will orbit, waiting for the temp to increase. It doesn't actually control the amount of time it takes to heat up. The idea is if you time how long the heating takes and put the number in there to get an accurate wait time for the temperature change.

The thermistor table is correct and selected.
I had no problems with previous firmware on Gen6, same set up.

Is there a way to limit the power to the heating resistor from within the firmware?

Mike
