Printing bones from calcium phosphate and phosphoric acid

Posted by hs
Hi,

I stumbled over this article and thought you might find it interesting. They 3D-print bone implants by bringing out a thin layer of calcium phosphate powder and spraying hardening phosphoric acid over it using a standard inkjet printer head.

nice! this technology has such an amazing potential! it all comes down to getting a solid, reliable 3D positioning system. once we get that, the doors are WIDE open to printing using a variety of materials.
