Hello reprappers!
Having discovered and read up about this work-in-progress, we are now fully aware of the impacts that this device could potentially have on the world. We study BSc Environment and Sustainability at Keele University and it goes without saying that the potential for this device to enable sustainability and create closed-loop systems is potentially momentous.
We at the university have set up a sustainable housing initiative, by which 4 students aim to live as sustainably as possible on campus. Using this device could further our aims, along with a potential recycle-bot, to enable and improve upon recycling and sustainability within the home. We are already making connections within the university to get this project under-way, and we see this as a really beneficial model to not only to improve upon sustainable living, but as a testing ground for further, larger projects. Assuming we get the funding and approval, this project will happen.
Me and my fellow reprapping enthusiasts have set up a facebook group, specifically designed for our university and progression, and we would like to invite anyone to come and contribute thoughts and ideas to our project, as well as just discussion in general about the project.
