Neat! I really like the rack-and-pinion solution.

That is looking very nice, good use of drawer slides for the door.
It's faster than I expected, it looks like Sprinter? for the FW, or is it Marlin.

The gears look like Metal MOD1? and the rack looks like it's Acetal/POM or is it printed? What is the plan for production still metal on plastic?

...the video shows only 60mm/s, the printer can run up to 100mm/s
The gears are metal MOD1 - correct!
The racks are POM - correct!
Firmware: sprinter - also correct!

We are trying to reduce the weight of the table as much as possible. So, we can run up to 100mm/s.
All blue parts are printed with iRapid. Only the rack from the Z axis are metal, here we need no weight reduction...

Hi Hakan,

Have you tried Marlin, I do wonder what the acceleration would do for you on the rack, it may help? or it may limit the speed.
Also are you using NEMA23 motors on the R&P Axis? if so can you get away with NEMA17's?
Do you find that the NEMA23 motor on the extruder helps? - what's the maximum extrusion speed you have with that extruder?

Cheers,

Rich.

...hmmm not yet, but i can try it. But sprinter does not any bad affect to the axis. But may be Merlin is better... i will try it out.
The axisi motors are Nema 17, the Extruder motor is Nema 23. I never tied more than 100mm/s with the extruder. I guess it can more...

You can extruder even ABS with a 0.25mm nozzle.
