This is just to register my intention to develop a new machine....partly due to my frustration trying to get a bog-standard Prusa Mendel built and into use. This should have happened 4 months ago....but as it is so difficult to get the complete package of parts/software/know-how together...I STILL don't have a working machine. I also find it virtually impossible, so far, to contact anyone nearby who has such a machine.
FYI I am also developing a small extruder ...to make filament...it's nearly finished. Then I will add a spooling gizmo. I am also developing a small reflow oven controller for SMT prototypers.
I would really like to produce REPRAP hardware etc without upsetting anyone....if anyone "official" within the organisation can speak to me....please do. I don't want to do this as an entirely charity effort....because like many...I need to earn a living. I am a very experienced Electronics Engineer (42 years so far) and can be contacted at www.coastelect.com or via this forum. Note that I also produce CNC driver boards etc.
