Pronterface not loading stl - please can you help me

Hello all,

I have pronterface for mac. When I try to load a stl file, it comes up with this error:

ImportError: dlopen(/Users/Macbook/Desktop/RepRap/pronterface.app/Contents/MacOS/cStringIO.so, 2): no suitable image found.  Did find:
	/Users/Macbook/Desktop/RepRap/pronterface.app/Contents/MacOS//cStringIO.so: no matching architecture in universal wrapper
	/Users/Macbook/Desktop/RepRap/pronterface.app/Contents/MacOS/cStringIO.so: no matching architecture in universal wrapper

Can anyone help me please?

btw i put this in the terminal to load pronterface:

export VERSIONER_PYTHON_PREFER_32_BIT=yes
open /Users/Macbook/Desktop/RepRap/pronterface.app

Pronterface should primarily be used to open gcode files. The only way pronterface will know what to do with an STL is if you have Skeinforge or Slic3r installed alongside it, in which case it will immediately use Skeinforge or Slic3r to slice the STL into a .gcode file.

Does the same thing happen when you try to open a .gcode file you've already created?

I have got skeinforge in the same folder as pronterface. Its ok when i open gcode files. I want to open stl so i can use the compose function.

Any ideas?

As far as I understand, compose (aka plater.py) only opens stl and openscad files, and outputs stl for slicing.
