... it would be interesting, when the first DIY-excimer-laser will be out there - a friend DIY-ed an electron microscope, but another friend, which was developing a small excimer-laser for 3000€ around 2000 wasn't successfull ...

this has pretty massive implications in nano tech. once we can make reliably make electronics and motors that small as well...

... this sort of two-photons-lithography with resolutions around 500 nanometers isn't new - some five years ago an japanese group printed some comparable objects too, but this didn't have an impact on micro- or nanotech until now confused smiley
