3d cad files needed in useable format

hey, i need the .stl or the solid edge files for the reprap (mendel) converted into a useable format. i have access to many cnc machines but my cad/cam software does not like the files i downloaded. if any one has the files in any other format, .sat .dxf .dwg .ipt , could you please give me a link or instructions on how to acquire them. all my attempts at conversion have failed and i dont know if anyone else has had better luck. thanks in advance

Hi

There is a Step file somewhere in subversion that will open in Inventor. I guess you have access to Inventor as you mention IPT files

Yea i have access to inventor, ill look for the step files. By "in subversion" do you mean like an older release or hidden in The folder? Thanks a million

Note that the STEP file is incomplete, but should give you a general idea of how the thing is built

I think we need a note about that on the Mendel page. Right now that's pretty locked down, so one of the library gnomes or devs will have to do it.
