Hi mates,

I am trying to get a temperature reading with my setup:

Ardunio mega + Tonokip Firware and this brakeout board (max6675).

Has ANYONE tried using thermocouple with RAMP configuration?

It said on the PINS.H file: MUST USE ANALOG INPUT NUMBERING NOT DIGITAL OUTPUT NUMBERING!!!!!!!!!

I haven't tried it yet, but members of the Melbourne RUG (Australia) are working on doing it, though with a different breakout board. Scorpia is the one currently working on it.

AFAIK, it'll be much the same setup. Will prod him about this post.

I've been playing with the RAMPS design adding in the MAX6675, ause for my main RepRap it will use this electronics setup.

As for configuration, try reading up on the RepRap firmware, it has in it code to support the MAX6675 which should be relatively easy to port over.

Here, you can try this out.
It uses the library that LadyADA has up, so you will have to install that first.
If you read thru her documentation for it, it should be relatively easy to make the right connections.
just remember to set the USE_THERMISTOR to false, and setup the pins that you want to use to communicate in pins.h

No updates yet (Scorpia, who was playing with it, seems to be away on holiday and no one has been able to contact him).
