Torn edge (only on one place) on circle

Hi smiling smiley
I'm calibrating machine and testing results with SFACT.
I have printed battery holder to test height issues but I have found strange issue (please see pic) with single point on circle edge.
Any tips ?

That might be an artefact generated by the "Clip" module of skeinforge.

I have no idea if SFACT (which is an interface around skeinforge AFAIK) will let you turn that module off to confirm my idea.

Maybe try Slic3r (for ease of use and fast learning) or skeinforge (for full features and long learning curve) instead ?

Most of my technical comments should be correct, but is THIS one ?
Anyway, as a rule of thumb, always double check what people write.

it defiantly looks like a seam caused by the extruder making the same movements on each layer. try enabeling the jitter plugin, which will move the end of the path around on each layer. you'll still have a bump probably, but it will be distributed around the model instead of all in a line like that.

*edit* i've never used sfact so am not sure if it has the jitter plugin, but skeinforge does.

I was getting the same thing on my prints until I increased the speed of the z-axis.

I was having the same problem on lots of my prints and it was driving me crazy, especially when I was trying to print pulleys. I noticed that the "tear" was in the direction where the print head was moving from object to object. So, I added the lift, just a small amount, .15 mm, and it lessened it greatly.

Hopefully this helps.
