stl file problems

I tried using a plugin (cadspan) with Google Sketchup to create a part and turn it into a stl file to run on my printer. I'm not having any success. Can someone tell me step by step how they are doing this? Thank you!

I had issues exporting STL files as well. What I ended up doing is when you hit export stl file, I had to type the filename.stl If I just entered the "filename" it wouldnt work and didnt automatically put the stl extension. For example save 20mmCube and it didnt work. But if I saved 20mmCube.stl it would work.

Hopefully your's is the same issue and that fixes it!

sad part is that sketchup is no longer google's they sold it to another company, i hope they keep it the way it is at least. but i ended up having to add the .stl too with my plugin i forget what one. but even if you dont add it you can do it after in windows under rename.

Can you open the files in Netfabb basic? if so use that to resave the files and see what happens, it might even pay to do a repair while they are in Netfabb
