Call for coop Teaching kids 3D printing as playful design magic

Hi RepRapers,

I will like to systematically cooperate on developing program outline for Teaching kids 3D printing as playful design magic

We have circulating rumor in Czech Republic then France is preparing plan to order more than 3000 3D printers into their schools (or there will be PAN EU program for it?). Many teachers point then for teaching kids from upcoming Digital Generation 3D Design and Printing we will for sure also need to develop new multidisciplinary based methodology approaches for both in-class and as-fun use. Plus whole flexible principles of 3D manufacturing open large possibilities to more proactively work with gifted kids (especially with strong Visual-Spatial Learning focus or strong See thinks as they are real - Design Insight gift)

As long term perspective I am preparing in Prague, Czech Republic a big lab for Visually gifted kids from upcoming digital generation http://visualllab.net/visualllab , my personal specialization are Twice Exceptional kids with great visual-spatial thinking and learning issues like dyslexia (but also left handed and deaf – sing language users). I am personally visually gifted dyslectic.

In near focus I am also preparing for PhD in this area. As part of it’s preparation I build my own RepRap printer and I also run small local Makers group https://www.facebook.com/MakersCZ , to get as much personal hands on experience I can, because I feel then all aspects of 3D manufacturing will be essential part of near future digital generation kids live.

I am interesting in such types of cooperation:

1. Web links and personals contacts on actualities in Kids and 3D manufacturing, like there ones

Canada

Singapore

US
3D printing workshops and classes for kids in New York City

2. Multidisciplinary international research cooperation in area of Teaching Kids 3D manufacturing including gifted ones and Redefining role of toys and constructions sets with arrival of 3D manufacturing.

Direct links and contacts for both labs and individual researchers.

3. Direct contacts to 3D manufacturing HW/SW designers

To discus design specifics in classroom (safety, use by of unskilled under 18 yeas aged kids group, support programs and so on)

So, I you are interested, can we please connect on Linkedin for future cooperation?

I am interested in starting up something like this in my area in southeast Michigan, USA.

For reference here are some more links for you. Michigan Tech University has a graduate program that is now looking for graduate students to explore 3D printing. They have their own Mendel variant, and they recently came out with a few 3D printing studies and have gotten some media attention. Here are some links for them,
