Temperature calibration?
November 20, 2013 10:23PM
So I just installed a new Budachnozzle 2.0 in my printer (my old 1.1 was clogged by bad filament and I broke trying to unclog it. And since I have a new very accurate Fluke thermometer with a 3mm probe I decided to test the accuracy in Repetier-Host before add filament. The probe was the perfect size as it slid inside the filament path with a little force. I moved the tip up and down in the path until I got the highest reading (just at the bottom of the heater block).

So here is what I got:

Set Temp / Actual Temp

100 = 101
120 = 121
220 = 214
230 = 221
240 = 228
245 = 232

I know I am not suppose to run this above 240 but since the actual temp is not getting there I figured I was safe. I always suspected my other hot end was low and I normally ran it (ABS) at 240-245 and got excellent results for past 2 years.

So, where is the temperature table stored? (Repetier firmware) Is this something I can or should change?

Or should I just keep doing what I was doing and run it where it prints best?

Thanks!
