Misumi parts for an i3

I'm planning to get a Prusa i3 Kit and I just saw the special that Misumi is offering on parts where the first $150 of your order is free. Being new to this, what would you get from Misumi to upgrade the i3 or to have spare parts? I looked for Nema motors, but they don't seem to have them. They have extrusion bars, but the Makerfarm kit I'm planning on is the laser cut wood parts, so I don't know how helpful that would be. Maybe build a box cover to maintain temperature. Any thoughts?

If you aren't familiar with the promo check out these two articles - [projects.hackaday.com] or [www.reddit.com]

Also see: [forums.reprap.org]

You can get belts and pulleys, smooth rod, linear bearings, ball bearings, couplings (motor to drive screw), springs, raw materials (such as aluminum plate), screws, nuts, and bolts, lead screws and nuts, and more.

Building an enclosure would be a good idea as well.

WhhiskeyMike,

I was looking for the same parts list and I was able to find some stuff through reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/1x6qd3/update_150_worth_of_free_stuff_from_my_company/) and I completed the rest. The following list is for the Prusa i3 rework (http://reprap.org/wiki/Prusa_i3_Rework_Bill_of_materials).

Hope this helps.

They have stepper motors. Just type stepper in the search bar:

This BOM needs work. The GT2 pulley has no way to mount to the stepper shaft.

Thanks for spotting that. I actually started my first build process based on one of those Misumi lists and i think I've just got the plain GT2 pulleys coming. Any idea if that connector (I assume it's a little sleeve with a grub screw) can be found easily? I still have another Misumi order to place, so I will add it on.

Sorry, on closer look, it appears the Misumi pulleys do come with (at least) the threaded hole for the set screw to attach to a motor shaft. Is there something else needed?

On yet a closer look -- I received my order from Misumi and have the pulleys in hand -- you are correct. These pulleys have no collar for the set screw to connect them to the motor shaft. Misumi calls this Shape A.

The one with the collar is Shape B, but it doesn't appear to be available in this size.
