layers displacement

hi all...

almost successfully completed my first reprap build. as you can see on the included/attached picture there is slight issue however. the x axis moves every layer ever so slightly "to the left". the image should represent a 20mm x 20 x 10 box. and it kinda does. i mean technically the dimensions are correct but the final result kinda blows. it's not a box. it also seams like the printer was in a rush to finish because the very last layer was totally mangled.
i'm using ramps 1.4 with marlin and printing off pronterface with slicer gcode.

i'd appreciate very much some advice on how to make this box straight...

make sure you pulleys not slipping, belts tight

there are no belts. this is a tiny printer made out of dvd stepper motors. following the example here:
[www.instructables.com]

i have the whole thing working. except this layer displacement...

then maybe too much current going to the particular motor which drives the axis which the movement follows
