oxygen barriers for sla 3d printers

Hi, I was wondering why know one has used salt water as an oxygen permeable membrane on a sla 3d printer. The peachy printer proved it sinks in resin and water absorbs oxygen. Additionally using water on would allow you to do this on and sla 3d printer. Thanks for your input/opinion.spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

... with salt-water you don't need oxygene, as its only used to prevent curing of the resind while in contact with the bottom surface.

The only "drawback" with a fluid membrane is the inconsistent surface while pulling the object up, so the inner areas of voluminous parts won't be precise leveled, but slightly koncave, until the resin from the outside will refill the cavities again ...

For a bottom up SLA, salt water will distort the image projected by the projector or laser.

... this is only a scaling offset, so no real problem, if the height of the salt-water volume didn't change while printing ...

What if you used an oil with a low surface tension?

... you'll need a "phobic" fluid, which won't mix with the resin, and best one with higher density, so it will stay under the resin in the bottom-up approach ...

You could use this on your build plate and water
