Lower resolution killing Z axis movment

Good day to you all. Strange issue with my build. When I print a cube 20mm on 0.3 resolution it prints perfectly.
If I change the resolution 0.2 the z axis does not move. I keep my hand on the lead screw to see if I can feel it move and it does not. This is the same for 0.1 resolution

Does anybody have any ideas.

We need to know a lot more about your printer in order to help, in particular the Z axis movement mechanism.

Large delta printer [miscsolutions.wordpress.com], E3D tool changer, Robotdigg SCARA printer, Crane Quad and Ormerod

Disclosure: I design Duet electronics and work on RepRapFirmware, [duet3d.com].

SWAG: your z stepper drivers are set for full steps instead of the usual 16 microstepping and the 0.3 layers happen to be a full step...

Or the gonqulator needs adjusting... :-)

Check and make sure you have 3 jumpers placed under each motor driver.
This is assuming you have a ramps board.
