Help with X axis travelling in mid print
November 29, 2016 06:06AM
Hi,
I am a newbie in this subject. I bought the 200$ chinese made printer, managed to get it working after huge struggle with Chinese-English. I am using cura as slicer and set my print speed to low with a printer setting as Prusa i3 200 x 200 x 180 settings. this is as per guideline from the seller.

I do notice that sometimes during the mid print, the nozzle will travel too far to the right and hit the limit and then things start to go wrong, i.e. it will not come back to the original layer position (i.e. the centre is off now). I figure this is because it travels too much to the right of X Axis. Wonder if any of you can help with this ?

the printer purchased was : [www.ebay.com.au]

Appreciate if you can point me into the correct direction on this subject
Thank you

Most of the time its not actually 200x200.
Zero the axis and then manually jog till you reach the end. I bet you hit something under 200 before you reach the end.
Do this for the X, Y and Z axis.
Yes finding out how tall the Z axis "actually" is takes time because its the slowest but once you have the actual height you wont ever have to do it again.
