PEI Solubility in Acetone

I've looked around and I couldn't find a topic on this, so here we are. Hopefully posted in the right place...

I have a sheet of PEI. I can clean it with acetone, no problem. Does no damage.

I have another sheet of PEI, which cracks and begins to dissolve at the touch of a cloth with some acetone soaked into it.

Do I in fact only have one sheet of PEI, and one of some unknown plastic? In other words, is PEI soluble in acetone? Are there two varieties, one of which is and one that isn't?

This is causing me some consternation, so a little advice would be much appreciated.

... could be, the manufacturer added some (Acetone-soluble) additives to optimize the properties - this is common with filaments ...

That could explain it. It's not quite as amber as I'd really expect either. I'm used to the notion of filament additives, so I guess there's no reason they couldn't have added something to the PEI.

I guess the real test will be how well parts stick to it.
