runaway temps

Hi guys, where would you start to find problem of runaway temps on both the bed and the extruder, the temps are set for 55c on the bed, 200c on extruder, when I call for heat they both continue on past set temps until they reach max temp and then shut off. The printer is a prusi clone with Marlin 1.0.(DMYDP model P802MA).

Your PID settings probably, since by the sounds of things your thermistor and heaters are working fine.

That's his PID settings for the extruder. Nothing wrong IMHO.

When the bed runs into overtemp shutdown while set to 55°C, the MosFet probably doesn't switch off.
Did you inspect the controller for bad solder joints or cracked tracks on the PCB?
