I am getting confused and thought somebody here could explain what Kossel means. I see Kossel Mini or Kossel Delta. I don't see a brand name of Kossel so it must descriptive. Is a delta design a Kossel or does it have to be a certain type to be called Kossel? I understand an engineer named Kossel designed the first delta, but is he selling them now?

The kossel was one of the first delta 3d printers. People use the name kossel the same way they use prusa or mendel to describe machines.

That is like saying the Ultimaker printer is another name for printer printer. Its just a name.

Ultimaker is a brand name....Kossel is a type of printer, not a brand name. How about Kossel corexy?

Kossel and CoreXY are mutually exclusive, so you can't really do that.

Kossel delta is sort of like saying Mendel cartesian. The Kossel is a specific implementation of linear delta, like a mendel is a specific implementation of a cartesian.
