New board

Asked this question a few months ago. My Monoprice printer has a Melzi board. Is it true that auto leveling cannot be added with a Melzi board? If true, what board is recommended as a replacement?

If the recommended board will not fit in the printer control enclosure, I will get a larger box.

I'm a big fan of ramps, because it is easy to find support and several people have it in use.

There are different version of the melzi
The older is a 644p chip, If its got that, no way in hell will it fit. it only has 64K of flash ram.
If you have the newer 1284p chip the board has 128k of flash ram (where the program sits) this is insufficient for all marlin features but..
Some auto leaving can be added, but not all types (eg ubl, very unlikely to fit this feature)
